Biography

Dr. Tony H. Pham is an American Board of Ophthalmology Certified Ophthalmologist. Listed as a "Top Surgeon" by the Consumer's Research Council of America, Dr. Pham specializes in microsurgery involving the eye. As an ophthalmologist Dr. Pham performs bladeless LASIK and advanced custom PRK surgery. Dr. Pham has decided to focus his practice to just one thing - providing the best LASIK and PRK for his patient family.

A Southern California native, Dr. Pham graduated Summa cum Laude and first from over four thousand students at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He earned a degree in biochemistry and minors in American history and health care management. The Chancellor of UCSD awarded Dr. Pham with the highest GPA award.

Dr. Pham attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego. As a medical student, Dr. Pham was elected the Western Regional Chair for the medical student division of the American Association of Medical Colleges.

Dr. Pham earned a general surgery internship at the prestigious UCSF Medical Center. During this time, he trained with some of the leading surgeons on the West coast. Dr. Pham became trained in ophthalmology and eye surgery at the UCSD Shiley Eye Center. Selected as the Chief Resident, Dr. Pham taught and oversaw the learning of his fellow peers. Residents awarded him the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award for his commitment to training physicians.

To Dr. Pham: the respect he gains from his patients surpasses any award or accolade. Dr. Pham devotes his life to improving the quality of his patients' lives by improving their vision. Dr. Pham's commitment and care has elevated the Orange County Eye and Lasik Institute into what it is today-- a leader in LASIK and eyecare excellence.

In his free time, Dr. Pham enjoys time with his young children and playing tennis.
